JoJo the Dappled Dachshund
May 4, 1999 - June 21, 2013
(JoJo was the beloved companion of a very good friend of Woodland West Animal Hospital, he will be missed...)
Our family said good-bye to JoJo, our 14 year old dappled dachshund, on June 21, 2013, when he lost his battle with Melanoma. He was our beloved “Puppa,” and we miss him so very much. JoJo had such an energetic and outgoing personality; he loved people and never met a stranger. He saw his walks as a time to socialize; he would take his time, greeting those he knew and watching who came out of homes and cars in order to see if he knew them. In the event he saw someone he knew, that did not see him, he would bark until he was acknowledged. JoJo also enjoyed having his picture taken and wearing new clothes. If anyone took out a camera, he would run up to it, look straight up and pose, often with his mouth open and tongue hanging out (his version of a smile), and when he got a new item of clothing, he would strut around in front of you and look for praises. It was our hope that JoJo would live to see his book published and be able to meet some of his fans, so we are extremely sad that he was not able to do so, as his book was not published until July 30, 2013. However, we could not be more thrilled to have the opportunity to share the life and personality of our wonderful boy through his stories, the first of which is entitled JoJo the Dappled Dachshund, with more to follow.

Mariel was a sweet girl who loved her people. She grew to love her younger brother Bonz and tried to keep him in line. She will be missed.

Tanner was an extraordinary dog who touched many lives nationwide. His enormous heart and lively smile brought light and life to his best friend Blair and enriched the lives of not only his newly adopted family but of those of us who took care of him.
Thanks to Sooner Golden Retriever Rescue and his adopted family, he left this having been able to live in a happy home with his new children, an new canine brother and his best friend Blair.

Abby was a very special girl, a much-loved patient of the hospital and a regular at Day Camp at the Pet Resort. As you can see by the picture, she was always smiling. She will be greatly missed....
1993 - June 2011
2005 - February 2, 2012
Blue wandered to our home in the summer of 2005. He became a member of our family immediately. Blue completely loved and fiercely protected his cats, his canine sisters and his people. He arrived at our house just a week after his best friend, Lucy (see below). They were inseparable and he was never the same after she passed away. Cancer took his leg.. then his life. He will be forever missed...
1999 - May 25, 2011
Lucy was a nurturer. She mothered our cats, her two canine sisters and her two human parents. Lucy loved to curl up with you, play with you, swim with you. She was fiercely protective and extremely loving. She was an exceptionally special girl and can never be replaced. Her best friend in the world was Blue, the boy above her. We lost them both too close together....We will miss you forever Lucy Belle!
