Emily Shoemake, Level III, 2nd Year Vet Student
Hi, my name is Emily and I’ve been at Woodland West for a little over 4 years. I fill many different positions at the hospital, but they all give me an amazing chance of working up close with your babies. I am going into my second year of vet school and I love being able to apply and grow my knowledge here at WWAH. Outside of work and school, I enjoy spending time with my pup Kirby and my cats Bug and Achilles.
Hailey Hansen, Pet Care Specialist
Hailey McBee, Pet Care Specialist
Hello, my name is Hailey, and I am originally from Lubbock TX. My family and I moved to OK in 2011. I am 16 years old. I graduated high school in November of 2023 with Penn Foster. I am attending Unity
Environmental University online for my bachelor’s degree in animal science. Then after Unity, I will be attending a vet school. My goal is to become a veterinarian one day. My main hobby is taking care of and
hanging out with my animals at my house. My main interest is just learning more about animals. I am very committed to learning about animals and just stuff that has to do with animals in general. I chose to work in the vet field because I have a huge passion for animals. I love being able to take care of them, help them, and just be there for them. Becoming a veterinarian has been my dream for a while now. I always help with my own animals when it comes to going to the vet or giving at home medications and I absolutely love it. I have helped 2 rats, 2 hamsters, and 1 dog by giving medications and helping tame them. I used to volunteer at the Lubbock Animal Shelter when I lived there, and it was a lot of fun. Animals are a major love of mine.

Karma Davis, Level II Assistant
Hey everyone! My name is Karma and I’m 21 years old. I have one older sister and 2 dogs. One is a 12 years old pitbull named Nicki and a 2-year-old husky named Ozzy. I’ve been at Woodland West for a year now and I love meeting every new pet that comes here. When I’m not at work you can find me sleeping and cuddling with my dog. If I’m not sleeping then I’m reading comic books or playing video games. I started working here because I would always pass by the hospital when I was a kid and daydream about working here and helping out sick pets. I always had an obsession with animals and wanted to see new and exotic pets. My pitbull was diagnosed with degenerative joint disease when she was 4 years old, so that’s when I knew that I wanted to learn and help out pets that were just like her. I’m so happy that I can take care and love on everyone’s pets whenever they stay here or visit the hospital. I hope to continue to work with everyone here and hope to help many more pets for as long as I am here.
