This technology is especially useful for evaluating lung disease, metastatic cancer, nasal cavity disorders, orthopedic issues, spinal trauma, and vascular anomalies—offering superior detail compared to traditional X-rays by eliminating overlapping structures. A contrast agent may be used to enhance imaging, helping to differentiate between soft tissues, fluids, and abnormalities. 
Because pets need to remain completely still during the scan, anesthesia or sedation is required for their comfort and safety. Prior to the procedure, pre-surgical bloodwork is necessary to ensure they are healthy enough for anesthesia.
Once the scan is complete, pets are monitored until they fully recover from anesthesia and can safely go home. You and your referring veterinarian will receive a detailed report within one business day, allowing for timely treatment decisions.
